Josie’s Journey
Donación protegida
Josie is an eight year old girl who has been battling cancer for a few months now. She just finished her fourth phase of a six phase journey with chemo. After the chemo we will be moving to Birmingham for 6 weeks for radiation.
Josie’s diagnosis is a NGGCT which is a brain tumor. Because the placement of the tumor is directly on the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus, Josie has permanent damage to it. So now she not only has cancer, she also has thyroid disease, diabetes insipidus and a cortisol deficiency. She has also lost her peripheral vision but we believe she is gaining some of it back.
Josie’s last MRI showed that much of the tumor is gone. The tumors was made of three parts:hard, soft and cystic. The hard being the most aggressive. After 2 phases of the chemo the hard part is gone.
Throughout this whole Journey, Josie has kept a smile and doesn’t complain. She is the true definition of strength and is a hero to so many. I am so blessed to call her my daughter and walk this journey with her.
But since we have multiple appointments, blood draws, transfusions and also chemo, I am unable to work. As you can imagine expenses incurred from all the travel on top of everyday expenses and bills is a lot. We have been super blessed to have so many people donate, host fundraisers and even just by sharing our posts but we are still in need of donations. Please if you feel led to donate, you can through this gofundme and also through
