Expenses During Dylan’s Leukemia Treatment

As many of you already know, my brother Josiah’s daughter, Dylan René, was originally diagnosed with Hypoplastic Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After additional testing, her diagnoses has been updated to identify the pre-cursor to the leukemia as ‘Fanconi Anemia’ (a rare blood disorder) which has led to bone marrow failure in conjunction with leukemia. She’s been admitted to St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, and will be there for a current projection of six months, but a lot is still to be determined as this journey is only just beginning.

St. Jude’s has been incredibly supportive in so many ways, including covering all of Dylan’s medical expenses, travel expenses, and providing housing for the duration of her treatment. Nonetheless, there are still many other expenses to be accounted for, as life doesn’t just stop when these circumstances arise.
