When events occur which provoke thought and conversation on the topic of life and death, we are often left asking the question, “Why?”...personally I have asked my questions - both in silence and out loud - since  we learned the heart-wrenching news of the untimely and unexpected passing of Rick JD Salazar, beloved son to Rick and Maria Salazar. JD loved his family and friends, sports and had a most contagious smile. On February 10, 2019 JD passed in his sleep, he was only 21 years young.  Grief is tragic, dark, messy and brutal. It completely knocks you off whatever course you were on and often leaves you incapable of managing even the simplest task. The idea of washing, sleeping, eating, shopping and paying bills is now as trivial as it is impossible. Let alone the idea of organizing and funding a funeral for your child. Many have come forward asking what they can do to help, so as our hearts well with anguish we decided this was the best platform to ask for donations, prayers or words of comfort for our dear friends who have become family as we rally around them in person and in spirit to help support them through this. Funds will go directly to Rick and Maria to help with funeral and travel costs as JD's final resting place will be in California (there will be local services as well) along side his Grandfather.
