Expenses after motorcycle accident

My brother, David Jenkins, was in a motorcycle accident Monday, June 13th. From the information learned from others, the vehicle did not see him and they collided, throwing my brother forward into the handlebars and landing onto the pavement. He has suffered massive internal injuries, a punctured lung, punctured colon, a broken pelvis, spinal injuries, many torn ligaments in his knee, etc. Since Monday he has been completely sedated. The doctor said this would allow them to do the work needed and would help his body rest easier and fortunately keep him from remembering the intense pain. The medical teams have managed to perform the more important surgeries to maintain life in the first 72 hours. His pelvis has now been reset, and they will further asses his spinal injury at the beginning of next week, and then move to the knee. With all of his surgeries, ambulance ride, hospital stay, anesthesia, missing work for both him and my sister-in-love, travel to and from the hospital, purchasing food at the hospital, bills, bills and more bills, I am believing that the goodness of people will assist them to not fall behind and to allow them a more peaceful healing process by not worrying about the monetary burden. I know the amount requested will only be a small portion of what they will owe, but it will definitely help alleviate expenses.
