My brother in law Steve Heffner passed away, he is a veteran of the United States Army, he had no life or burial insurance to help pay for services, etc. He had COPD, and various illnesses, his death may not have been service connected and the VA will only give my sister 300.00 for expenses since he was not 100% service related. If it is deemed service related they will only give her 2,000.00 to help with services, etc. She is going to need all the help she can get to help get his memorial and services done.
