My name is Dexter and on March 18th, my dad had to make a choice of either putting me down at the age of 11 or paying $14,000 for a surgery that I wasn't a good candidate for since I hadn't eaten in two weeks prior to my surgery. If you don't know, I'm a pup with many ailments from the tumor I had removed last November and losing the ability to walk due to nerve damage. Because of the nerve damage, I had some pretty beat-up legs from dragging them around the house, trying to follow my dad wherever he goes. Dad had my legs wrapped up, but I decided that the wrap on my leg would seem like a yummy treat and I decided to eat the wrap, causing my intestines to scope into one another and leaving my dad to pick up the bill from my silly choice. Thankfully, I'm a tough guy and I did really well in the surgery and I'm still in recovery. I left my dad with $20,000 in vet bills, so I set this GoFundMe up to help dad recover what he can to make the minimum payments on the credit card dad used.
