Hello! My name is Asa, I'm 19 years old, and I'm attempting to fundraise for a 5-week expedition in Kyrgyzstan with the British Exploring Society - a charity operating since 1932, dedicated to giving 'young people the skills, resilience and determination to make lasting positive decisions in their own lives, and to deliver community benefit and positive environmental change.'

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity - one that I am very lucky to have the chance at - and I would be immensely grateful if anyone would be willing to help me get there.

The 5-week wilderness expedition will take place in the At-Bashi mountain range, and will be entirely self-sufficient - without electricity, signal etc - for the entire time. I hope to develop new skills, improve my grasp of Russian, experience Kyrgyzstan and its culture, and hopefully learn a bit about myself in the process.

Anything donated towards this will go towards the British Exploring Society, providing for young people from any background to be able to experience an expedition like this.
