Expedition Kit For Genny Brown - Antarctic Aruban
Donation protected
My name is Genny Brown and I’m currently in training to become the first woman from Aruba to ski approximately 700miles/1200km from the coast in Antarctica to the South Pole to raise awareness about Lyme Disease.
I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in the summer of 2016 after suffering from its debilitating effects and misdiagnosis for 3 harrowing years. I went from being a fit and active person to being so fatigued that I was bedbound for months. A few years on from diagnosis, I’ve recovered and become passionate about making diagnosis affordable, available and prompt in the UK, where I now live. I am determined that no one else should suffer as I did!
I’m now at the stage in my training where I need to do more independent trips and mini expeditions to qualify for an Antarctic solo expedition. Having my own kit will be key to making these solo training trips possible. As I’ll be in the harshest conditions, I’m going to need specialized kit made to withstand polar conditions.
Would you consider donating today, any contribution no matter the size will help immensely. Your contribution could help me buy the very tent I’ll be using in Antarctica or ski boots that fit my tiny feet and much more!
Come be part of an inspirational and epic journey!
