Dear friends,
if you made it to this page, you have probably - just like us – already been travelling on board the "Expedition" to great destinations. We have travelled with experienced captains, always had great expedition leaders and dedicated guides who have shared their expertise with us.
Especially we remember the hospitality and attention of the crew. They have given everything to make each trip a very special experience for each individual guest. Weren't you surprised how quickly the waiters remembered your names? Favourite drinks? How varied the chefs have organised the buffet? Not to mention the dessert and the barbecue on deck. How kindly and respectfully you were advised at the reception and how many special wishes were fulfilled? Twice a day the rooms were prepared, the laundry (a one-man operation) was incredibly fast. We felt very, very safe every time we were helped out of the Zodiacs. Even after many hours of work, the crew always greeted us all with a smile.
Now the crew needs your help:
COVID-19 has had disastrous consequences for the maritime community. Unfortunately, our crew of the "Expedition" is particularly hit hard by this crisis. Many crew members have been on board for over a year and are now stranded far from their families in South America - long beyond their agreed contracts. Currently, it is almost impossible to obtain the appropriate visas and flights home.
Expedition has been sitting off of the coast of Montevideo since March this year, and there is still no sign of getting the bulk of the crew off the ship and back home to their loved ones. There are currently 47 people on board who are desperate for the situation.
At this time there is no work because travel is not possible. Especially not on cruise ships. We can hardly imagine what this situation means for our friends. It is particularly difficult, as it is for all of us, that there is no end in sight to the pandemic and they do not know when they will see their families again. In addition, the pandemic is raging in their home regions and medical care is expensive. We would all like to be with our own family in this situation.
We`d like to ask you to show solidarity now to support them and their families at this incredibly difficult time. Of course, it will not be possible for us to get them off the ship. But we hope to raise enough money to help them care for their families. That would be a huge relief for everyone.
In addition, of course, every donation is also a hopeful greeting to the crew and a sign that they are not forgotten.

wenn Ihr auf dieser Seite gelandet seid, seid Ihr wahrscheinlich - genau wie wir - schon mit der „Expedition“ zu großartigen Reisezielen unterwegs gewesen. Wir sind mit erfahrenen Kapitänen gereist, hatten immer tolle Expeditionsleitungen und engagierte Guides, die Ihr Fachwissen gern mit uns geteilt haben.
Besonders in Erinnerung geblieben ist uns aber die Gastfreundschaft und Aufmerksamkeit der Crew. Sie hat alles gegeben, jede Reise zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis für jeden einzelnen Gast zu machen. Wart Ihr nicht auch überrascht, wie schnell sich die Kellner Eure Namen gemerkt haben? Die Lieblingsdrinks? Wie abwechslungsreich die Köche das Buffet organisiert haben? Nicht zu vergessen der Nachtisch und das Barbecue an Deck. Wie freundlich und respektvoll Ihr am Empfang beraten wurdet und wie viele besondere Wünsche erfüllt wurden? Zwei Mal am Tag wurden die Zimmer bereitet, die Wäscherei (ein Ein-Mann-Betrieb) war unglaublich schnell. Wir haben uns jedes Mal sehr, sehr sicher gefühlt, wenn uns aus den Zodiacs geholfen wurde. Auch nach vielen Arbeitsstunden hat uns die Crew immer alle mit einem Lächeln begrüßt.
Jetzt braucht die Crew Eure Hilfe:
COVID-19 hat katastrophale Folgen für maritime Reisen. Leider ist unsere Crew der „Expedition“ von dieser Krise besonders hart betroffen. Viele Crewmitglieder sind seit gut einem Jahr an Bord und nun weit von ihren Familien in Südamerika gestrandet - lange über ihre vereinbarten Verträge hinaus. Derzeit ist es nahezu unmöglich, die entsprechenden Visa zu erhalten und Flüge nach Hause zu bekommen.
Die "Expedition" liegt seit März vor der Küste von Montevideo und es gibt immer noch keine Möglichkeit, dass der Großteil der Besatzung vom Schiff und damit wieder nach Hause zu ihren Lieben gebracht werden kann. Aktuell befinden sich noch 47 Menschen an Bord, deren Lage verzweifelt ist.
Zu diesem Zeitpunkt gibt es keine Arbeit, weil Reisen nicht möglich sind. Vor allem nicht auf Kreuzfahrtschiffen. Wir können uns kaum vorstellen, was diese Situation für unsere Freunde bedeutet. Besonders schwierig ist wie für uns alle, dass kein Ende der Pandemie in Sicht ist und sie nicht wissen, wann sie ihre Familien wiedersehen. Dazu kommt, dass in ihren Heimatregionen die Pandemie wütet und medizinische Versorgung teuer ist. Wir alle würden in dieser Situation gern bei der eigenen Familie sein.
Deshalb möchten wir Euch jetzt bitten Solidarität mit der Crew zu zeigen, um sie und ihre Familien in dieser für sie unglaublich schwierigen Zeit zu unterstützen. Natürlich wird es auch für uns nicht möglich sein, sie vom Schiff zu bringen. Wir hoffen aber genug Geld zu sammeln, damit sie ihre Familien versorgt wissen. Das wäre für jeden Einzelnen eine riesige Erleichterung.

2019冠状病毒为航海业带来了灾难性的后果。非常不幸的是，我们“Expedition”号上的船员现在被困在南美，有些人已经一年多没见到自己的家人了，而且他们的工作合同已经很久无效了。现在基本上是无法办签证回家。
“Expedition”游轮从今年三月起就停留在蒙得维的亚港外一直到现在，而且没有任何船员回家的消息。现在船上总共有47位船员处于这种绝望的情况下。
现在全世界疫情紧张，无法进行国际旅行。尤其是游轮旅游业。我们船员朋友的情况是我们无法想象的。现在因为疫情没有尽快结束的意向，船员们也不知道他们何时才能见到自己的家人。外加他们的故乡也被疫情所影响，医疗服务费用又非常高。在这种情况下，我们都想和自己的家人在一起。
我们希望您们能够在这艰难的情况下帮助他们的家人。当然帮助他们下船回家是不可能的。但是我们希望通过捐款来帮助他们的家人。这样大家都能松一口气。
除此之外，这次捐款也是给与船员们一点希望，证明我们没有忘记他们。

Si has entrado a esta página, has probablemente –como nosotros- ya han viajado a bordo del “Expedition” a grandes destinos. Hemos viajado con capitanes experimentados, siempre con un gran líder de expedición y los guías dedicados quienes compartieron su conocimiento con nosotros.
Recordamos especialmente la hospitalidad y atención por parte de la tripulación. Ellos han dado todo para que cada viaje sea una experiencia especial para cada huésped. ¿Acaso no se han sorprendido lo rápido que lo meseros aprendieron sus nombres? ¿Sus bebidas favoritas? ¿Lo variado que era el buffet preparado por el chef? Sin mencionar los postres y el asado barbecue en la cubierta. ¿Cuán amable y respetablemente fueron aconsejados en la recepción y cuantos deseos cumplidos? Y nuestras cabinas limpiadas dos veces al día, la lavandería (con un solo operario) increíblemente rápida. Nos sentimos segurísimos cuando nos ayudaron para subirse a los botes Zodiacs. Incluso después de muchas horas de trabajo, la tripulación siempre nos saludó con una sonrisa.
Ahora la tripulación necesita de sus ayudas:
La pandemia de COVID-19 ha creado consecuencias desastrosas para la comunidad marítima. Desafortunadamente, nuestra tripulación del “Expedition” están siendo particularmente afectados por esta crisis. Muchos miembros de la tripulación han estado a bordo por más de un año y ahora están varados lejos de sus familias en Suramérica –mucho más allá de sus contratos de trabajo. Actualmente, es casi imposible para obtener las visas apropiadas para que regresen a casa.
El “Expedition” ha estado anclado en la costa en las afueras de Montevideo desde el marzo de este año, y no hay señal para que regrese la mayoría de la tripulación a sus casas y sus seres queridos. Actualmente hay 47 personas a bordo quienes están en una situación desesperada.
En esta época no existen trabajos porque viajar no es posible. Especialmente a bordo de un crucero. Apenas podemos imaginar lo que esto significa para nuestros amigos. Es particularmente difícil, tal como lo es para nosotros, que no existe un posible fin a esta pandemia y ellos no saben cuándo podrán regresar de nuevo a sus familias. Además, la pandemia está ocurriendo en sus regiones originarias y el cuidado médico es costoso. Todos nosotros nos gustaría estar con nuestras familias en una situación así.
Nos gustaría pedirle que demuestre solidaridad para apoyarlos y sus familias en este tiempo increíblemente difícil. Por supuesto, no será posible sacarlos del barco. Pero podemos donar suficiente dinero para ayudarlos a cuidar a sus familias. Esto sería un gran alivio para todos.

现在全世界疫情紧张，无法进行国际旅行。尤其是游轮旅游业。我们船员朋友的情况是我们无法想象的。现在因为疫情没有尽快结束的意向，船员们也不知道他们何时才能见到自己的家人。外加他们的故乡也被疫情所影响，医疗服务费用又非常高。在这种情况下，我们都想和自己的家人在一起。
我们希望您们能够在这艰难的情况下帮助他们的家人。当然帮助他们下船回家是不可能的。但是我们希望通过捐款来帮助他们的家人。这样大家都能松一口气。
除此之外，这次捐款也是给与船员们一点希望，证明我们没有忘记他们。
我们也有“Expedition”探险队的支持。我们用船上探险队科学专家，摄影师，音乐家和艺术家等捐献的作品来感谢您的捐款。现在您可以向我们的船员说一声“谢谢你”，同时也得到一份您一生难忘旅行的纪念。捐款奖品如下：

对于每次捐款，不管捐款额，您将收到一个我们探险队长为您录音的叫早广播。
捐款额高于25欧元，您将获得叫早广播录音和我们探险队艺术家Yvonne Ankermans绘画的水彩画一份（可以在10张画里选一张）。
捐款额高于50欧元，您将获得叫早广播录音和Yvonne的绘画，还有我们船上音乐家的一首作品。

Si has entrado a esta página, has probablemente –como nosotros- ya han viajado a bordo del “Expedition” a grandes destinos. Hemos viajado con capitanes experimentados, siempre con un gran líder de expedición y los guías dedicados quienes compartieron su conocimiento con nosotros.
Recordamos especialmente la hospitalidad y atención por parte de la tripulación. Ellos han dado todo para que cada viaje sea una experiencia especial para cada huésped. ¿Acaso no se han sorprendido lo rápido que lo meseros aprendieron sus nombres? ¿Sus bebidas favoritas? ¿Lo variado que era el buffet preparado por el chef? Sin mencionar los postres y el asado barbecue en la cubierta. ¿Cuán amable y respetablemente fueron aconsejados en la recepción y cuantos deseos cumplidos? Y nuestras cabinas limpiadas dos veces al día, la lavandería (con un solo operario) increíblemente rápida. Nos sentimos segurísimos cuando nos ayudaron para subirse a los botes Zodiacs. Incluso después de muchas horas de trabajo, la tripulación siempre nos saludó con una sonrisa.
Ahora la tripulación necesita de sus ayudas:
La pandemia de COVID-19 ha creado consecuencias desastrosas para la comunidad marítima. Desafortunadamente, nuestra tripulación del “Expedition” están siendo particularmente afectados por esta crisis. Muchos miembros de la tripulación han estado a bordo por más de un año y ahora están varados lejos de sus familias en Suramérica –mucho más allá de sus contratos de trabajo. Actualmente, es casi imposible para obtener las visas apropiadas para que regresen a casa.
El “Expedition” ha estado anclado en la costa en las afueras de Montevideo desde el marzo de este año, y no hay señal para que regrese la mayoría de la tripulación a sus casas y sus seres queridos. Actualmente hay 47 personas a bordo quienes están en una situación desesperada.
En esta época no existen trabajos porque viajar no es posible. Especialmente a bordo de un crucero. Apenas podemos imaginar lo que esto significa para nuestros amigos. Es particularmente difícil, tal como lo es para nosotros, que no existe un posible fin a esta pandemia y ellos no saben cuándo podrán regresar de nuevo a sus familias. Además, la pandemia está ocurriendo en sus regiones originarias y el cuidado médico es costoso. Todos nosotros nos gustaría estar con nuestras familias en una situación así.
Nos gustaría pedirle que demuestre solidaridad para apoyarlos y sus familias en este tiempo increíblemente difícil. Por supuesto, no será posible sacarlos del barco. Pero podemos donar suficiente dinero para ayudarlos a cuidar a sus familias. Esto sería un gran alivio para todos.
Además, por supuesto, cada donación es también un saludo de esperanza para la tripulación y una señal que no han sido olvidados.
