Expansion of Pure Vision Arts
Tax deductible
Pure Vision Arts Studio (PVA) is New York’s first and Manhattan’s only full-time art studio and exhibition space for adults with autism spectrum disorders and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. PVA provides artists with opportunities and access to explore their creativity, hone their artistic abilities, and share their talents with the greater art community.
For more than 20 years, PVA has occupied studio space in the heart of Manhattan’s art district. Our location supports engagement and recognition in Chelsea’s renowned art community. We have long awaited the opportunity for additional space in our current building. For the first time in over two decades, the additional space we need has become available.
By honoring diversity in values, heritages, abilities, and interests, we help to ensure that people with disabilities enjoy the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. There is no greater way to honor the artists we support and the future artists of PVA than by providing studio and exhibition space worthy of their talents.
The additional space will allow us to support the needs of more talented artists and provide much-needed public programming. Our revenues from the program expansion will cover the increased rent, but we urgently need funding to cover relocation costs: overlapping rents, moving expenses, and renovations. Relocation costs are $450,000.
The good news is we have already raised more than half of our goal through art sales and a handful of generous donors. We are now seeking to raise the remaining funds from our best supporters… all of you visiting this GoFundMe page. Please join us in this exciting endeavor with a generous donation.
Your contribution allows us to expand and enhance our valuable programs for brilliant artists with developmental disabilities as they overcome practical, emotional, and social barriers to practicing, perfecting and promoting their art.
