We are trying to break the cycle of poverty in this place and give these young people an opportunity to participate in the currently most advanced technology field, something that they would otherwise likely never have. We had a successful summer and have started our fall session but we have more students wanting to particpate than we have systems, space and instructors. We are trying to add all of these and that is what this GoFundMe is about. We don't fit many foundations funding models because we are not an after school temporary program. We are trying to change these young peoples lives and give them a career path into the hi-tech economy. It is hard to put into words how thankful we and these young people will be for your contribution. The ones we have worked with so far have already had their self-esteem, worldview and the way their peers view them changed, as well as gaining technical skills that make the highly marketable in the high tech marketplace. The funds are needed ASAP. We have 7 additional young people waiting for their opportunity to attend the VR Academy and we need 7 additional systems in order to be able to take these students on. As these young people have no access to funds they are never charged to attend the VR Academy. Your contribution makes it possibe for them to work at changing the current trajectories of their lives. We will bring on each student as we have the funds for another system. Thank you for giving these young people an opportunity to change their lives.
