Expand our space to Breathe

Hello my fellow yogis! Marina here, Owner and Founder of Breathe Oceanside. I am reaching out to everyone today with an opportunity, if you are looking for one, to give back to and help grow our local yoga community. As many of you already know my "origin" story, I won't go into all that here (but if you don't know it, feel free to read all about my origin story on my website https://www.breatheoceanside.com ). The past 2 years moving and breathing with all of you have been the best 2 years of my entire life. Starting out as just an obscure little Mobile Meditation Business, popping up around different farmers markets and fitness studios around town and then growing that into a full blown yoga and meditation Studio with multiple classes a day, 7 days a week, has been one of the most challenging and most rewarding experiences of my life. I have learned so much not only about myself and my individual yoga practice, but also about this incredible community we have here. I have watched so many of you develop your physical practice and born witness to an awe inspiring amount of personal growth and unconditional LOVE. Together, we have built something truly special in this space <3

I have also learned over the past couple of years what it really takes to grow a small, independently owned business in this ever fluctuating economy. The knowledge I have gained has humbled me to my core. I could write a book on the journey, maybe one day I will, but the most important (and hardest) lesson I have learned so far is, I can't do it all myself and I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO. Ouch. For me on this current journey I am on, that is an extremely painful reality to swallow. It took alot of deep inner healing work to realize that this business is not about me and what I can do with it, it's really about all of you as well. Providing you with the space and opportunity to grow as humans, means allowing you to help and contribute and support. That may seem obvious to some, but I am just learning this in a whole new way. It does come from a place of profound love that I want to take care of it all myself, but wisdom teaches you eventually that doing it all by yourself is simply not possible AND not even helpful for you or others.

So, that all being said, what is the goal of this campaign? I am reaching out today to raise funds for our beloved studio to spruce up the space with various repairs that are needed, add studio merchandise such as yoga mats, tank tops, T-shirts and hoodies, replace blocks and bolsters that have gotten a little too worn out over the years, purchase additional sound healing tools, and invest in equipment, software and staff needed to start an online YouTube channel for guided meditations, yoga classes and sound healing sessions you can access as a member at anytime and from any location.

Knowing that times are financially tough for so many of us makes this any even harder email to send, but setting my ego aside, if we all want to take this up to the next level, it will take an actual village to raise this Breathe Oceanside family :)
