In 2021, after 23 long years, the accuser came forward and admitted the accusation was false. Jermaine was officially exonerated on September 24, 2021. During those two decades, Jermaine’s life was deeply impacted. He spent 23 years on the sex offender registry, unable to pursue higher education, secure stable employment, or live a normal life. He experienced homelessness, depression, and countless lost opportunities—all for a crime he never committed. Now, at 45 years old, Jermaine is finally free to pursue the life he was denied. After his exoneration, he earned his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in 2022. Since then, he has obtained his Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements, and is currently working on his Passenger endorsement. He was recently hired by his local regional transit bus company and is on the path toward long-term stability and independence. Jermaine is also working hard to launch his own trucking business—something he dreamed of doing since his early 20s. With your support, he will be able to purchase a semi-truck, obtain the proper business licenses and insurance, and build a legitimate company that allows him to provide for himself and his six children.
