Isabella’s medical Bills
Donation protected
As many of you know, I don’t like to ask for help but I have several that have reached out to me regarding starting this fundraiser for my daughter Isabella Rowe.
At age 10 she was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation 1.5. It is more severe then a normal chiari as the brain stem fall through the spinal canal and not just the tonsils of the brain. Prior to her diagnosis she had severe migraines, loss of feeling in her hands and her legs and had trouble breathing and swallowing. She underwent decompression surgery and we thought she was fixed and could go on to lead a normal life.
In 2018 she started loosing feeling in her hands and legs as well as some other symptoms and she was diagnosed with tethered chord syndrome. She had tethered chord release in NYC. After surgery she couldn’t dance anymore as the pain in her back just was to much. She found another passion with horses and again we thought life was going to go back to a new normal and Bella would be ok.
Last August after moving to Missouri to do an internship and attend college she again started having major symptoms. Loss of feeling in her hands and legs, vision problems, bladder problems, low blood pressure, pain in her extremities and many other symptoms. We made the hard decision to move her back home to be closer to her Doctors and started the year long journey of diagnosing what was causing all this pain and loss of feeling. They have recently diagnosed her with needing cranio-cervical instrumentation and fusion. She needs her neck stabilized. They will be fusing c1 and c2 and adding rods and screws. She will loose mobility in her neck but her symptoms should be drastically reduced or even cured in some cases. Her surgery is set for August 29th in New York City at New York Presbyterian. She will spend 5 days in the ICU and they told us to plan on staying in the city for 8-12 days after for monitoring. They dont accept her insurance but there is no one in the state that can perform this intricate of a surgery. We are paying for all her medical visits and phone conferences out of pocket right now. Any money raised will be used for her medical bills, stay in the city, and bills the family may have as we take time off to be there for Bella. We just want the best possible care for Bella and thank you for any and all support
