Hi my name is Audette I am fundraising for my daughter Ashley Beeman. As you all know Ashley has been in the hospital for the most of the last 4 years due to her autoimmune disease and complications. She has repeatedly gone through numerous appointments, procedures, treatments, medications and surgeries. She has had numerous life-threatening complications and illnesses. Not only has she been unable to work during this time but she has been homebound. As you know Ashley was an LPN who loved working and caring for others. She worked up until the last day possible before having a stay in the ICU. Ashley became wheelchair dependent a few times in the last couple of years, but fought her way back to walking on her own, with the assistance of a walker. Now, once again, she is in the hospital due to steroid myopathy and is back in a wheelchair. She has lost complete muscle function from her ribs down to her toes, and has severe weakness in her torso, arms, back , neck, and hands. She's going through a very intense rehabilitation program to try and get her back to her baseline so she can take care of herself on her own at home. She is currently at Gaylord Hospital where she will likely remain for the next few months. Ashley's husband Justin, is trying very hard to stand by her side and continues to work hard and take care of their home and their two beloved dogs. Any help she can get would be greatly appreciated as it will help the financial burden. The money raised will help cover the cost of equipment (braces, wheelchair, etc. medical bills, and any other expenses. These last 4 years have been a long road and once she makes it home, that long road will continue. She appreciates all of the texts, cards, messages and well wishes. Although she may not respond, she gets every single message and is very thankful and moved by all the support.
