Mariposa production in Atlanta, Georgia
Donation protected
HOLA!
My name is Britney Lizbeth Quiroz. I am a First-Generation, Mexican-American artist & researcher from the South Side of Chicago! My play, Mariposa, was chosen out of a competitive national applicant pool to be produced in Atlanta through the SheATL festival this September !
Mariposa is a theatrical production that highlights Mariposa, a first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrants as she navigates her father’s alcoholism. It was first produced in 2022 in the South Side of Chicago. In 2023, it was chosen as Tisch’s Spring Student Works Production at NYU, where it was elongated and the team expanded. Now, Mariposa will be migrating to Atlanta as an off off broadway professional production.
We are hoping to raise 25,000 dollars that will be used to pay for the actors & production team’s honorariums, creative designs (costumes, set, props, etc.,) some rehearsal space, basic necessities for my own travel (housing, transportation).
For crowdfunding, we suggest a 25-50 dollar donation, but we are thankful for any money you are able to donate!
This production is a big deal!!!! Be part of bringing a first generation, Latinx theatrical
production to life… TOGETHER!
Muchas gracias. Abrazos. ❤️
