An Ex-IITian, A Nation Builder, A Selfless Educator—Now Fighting for His Life. Let’s Stand by Him!
Dear Friends,
Some heroes don’t wear capes—they dedicate their lives to serving others, shaping young minds, and uplifting communities. Today, we ask you to stand with one such hero: Abhijnan Sarkar.
A Life of Sacrifice for the Nation
A brilliant mind, Abhijnan secured a top rank to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University and later a Master’s from IIT Kharagpur. He had every opportunity to build a lucrative corporate career, but he chose a different path.
He believed in Bharat’s true strength—her youth. Instead of chasing wealth, he devoted his life to educating underprivileged students, training countless aspirants for IIT, IIM, and civil services. His mission was not just academic—he instilled in them a deep connection to their civilizational roots, ensuring they grew into leaders with wisdom and character.
A Social Reformer Who Paid the Price
Abhijnan was not just a teacher—he was a warrior against injustice. He fearlessly fought against ragging and student abuse in universities, taking a stand even when it came at great personal cost. He lived frugally, sacrificed personal comfort, and dedicated everything to uplifting the next generation.
Now, He Needs Us
Fate has dealt a cruel blow. In March 2024, Abhijnan was diagnosed with cancer. Over the past year, he has endured brutal treatments—chemotherapy, proton radiation, and a complex surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Instead of recovery, he now faces a life-threatening complication:
All stitches have come undone, leaving his mouth, throat, and nasal areas exposed.
Extreme weight loss—18 kg in just 10 days.
Tata Memorial Hospital has refused to continue his treatment.
He urgently needs a life-saving reconstructive surgery at another hospital.
The surgery must be done by Wednesday, February 25, 2025. Delay could be fatal.
Cost of the surgery: ₹5 lakhs ($6,000).
A Hero Left With Nothing
Having lost both parents, Abhijnan devoted his entire life to the service of others. Now, he has no one to turn to. His employer has declared him "No Longer Employed." His only source of survival? A mere ₹2,000 ($24) monthly ration card.
This is not just a plea for financial help—this is a moment to show that those who dedicate their lives to service are never alone.
