How It Begun:

In 2019, my work station was moved next to Neil’s. We sparked a conversation about movies and I mentioned to him that I was filmmaker.

Neil being a big fan of Game of Thrones mentioned that he’s never seen a show of that genre in an African influenced world. Once I realized, I also never seen a show of that kind. We decided to give it a shot.

What Is It About?

Bacaro is a masterclass in suspense and beating the odds. Watching the protagonist journey can inspire someone to overcome their own personal adversities.

Why?

Because it’s time! We’ve seen the gang and drug movies, we’re just starting to tap into the horror genre with Jordan Peele. It’s time to knock down the door to this genre.

How?

The goal is to create a concept trailer to explain the show and a comic book series to explain the history of the world and the people in it. By completing these two concepts it will better our chances of bringing this show to reality.

To accomplish this we need your help! Our target goal is $10,000. This will cover studio time, DP, cast, crew and costumes for the trailer. It will also help us with the first issue of the comic book series.

In Closing:

What are the odds of a filmmaker with no knowledge of the genre and one with no knowledge in filmmaking but well versed in the genre coming together to create a successful show?

The odds are high BUT we believe in this show! We want to inspire people in all walks of life that if you have an idea that you’re passionate about, pursue it. Don’t let it pass!
