Hi everyone. My sister in law Patricia Dimas was diagnosed with a very rare brain cancer called Diffuse Glial Neuronal Tumors in December 2019. Drs all over the country have studied her case and never seen a tumor like this and it’s intensity in rapid growth. Patricia received radiation to the brain and chemo causing her to lose her hair. In a matter of over a month and a half, these tumor cells have aggressively spread all over her brain and are attacking her nerves. Patricia has lost her hearing and most of her eyesight. Drs have stopped radiation and chemo. She received the maximum amount and can no longer continue. Our family is trying to stay strong and keep the faith that by the Grace of God she will beat this. Patricia and her husband Adam got together their senior year at John F. Kennedy HS at the age of 17. They are high school sweethearts and have 4 beautiful children together. Cliff (18) Adrian(12) Ashton(8) Amri(3). Patricia graduated in 2010 from UTSA with a BA in interdisciplinary studies. She has worked at the center for healthcare services for the last 7 years as an early intervention specialist for children with learning disabilities. Patricia is an amazing person loved by many. She has touched so many hearts by just smiling, helping or even just a simple hello. Her biggest accomplishment is being a mother. Her 4 children mean the world to her and she dedicates every minute of her life to them. She has always been a sports mom being her kids #1 fan. Her oldest son Cliff will graduate in June from her alma-mater and her only wish is to see him cross the stage. Unfortunately her eyesight is depreciating daily. The EISD community came together on Jan 30th to fulfill her wish by putting together a mock graduation for Patricia to see Cliff cross the stage and receive his diploma. Patricia will be put on hospice soon but bills and medical expenses are starting to accumulate. I humbly ask for any donations to help with for my amazing sister in law in this time of need. It is greatly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
