Help Zenda Beat Cancer

Donation protected
Zenda's aunt Cat and I have set this up in order to help Zenda and her fight against cancer. Zenda is lucky to have a strong family and support system, but her insurance will not cover all of her expenses related to hospital visits, medication, treatments, as well as her not being able to work full time while receiving treatment. We all know how expensive fighting cancer can be. Your help, regardless of how much you are able to give, is incredibly important and greatly appreciated in helping Zenda through this. All the proceeds from this will be used to help save Zenda’s life, paying for treatment, and helping her take care of her son Noah. Please share her story if you know anyone else who may be sympathetic to this cause. We can’t thank you enough for your support. Thank you.

Zenda in her own words

A little about myself, I am 37 years old, I love to cook, be with my family, and watch movies. Being a single mother has been difficult because my son Noah was always sick his first year in Chicago, so we moved to Texas. His father was killed this past November and we are still waiting for justice. I’m a general manager for Mcdonald's, started as a crew member and worked my way up. It’s a franchise (the Acosta Family), and I’ve been working for them for 8 years.

I was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 4 Cancer. It has spread to my bones which is Metastatic Breast Cancer of the Bones. I have to live with it as it is not curable, only manageable. Treatment started on February 9th, with bone-strengthening drugs, estrogen blockers, and chemo pills to start. Once they can get it under control they can then work on the mass on my breast and lymph nodes with surgery and radiation if necessary. I have a long road ahead of me but I have to be strong for my son Noah. I have the best support system one could ask for, all my family and friends, but especially my mother, grandmother, and aunts who have been there to take me to appointments and drive anywhere I need to go. Breast cancer unfortunately runs in our family. Thankfully my two aunts are in remission, my tia Granny has been in remission for 11 years, and my tia Juana has been in remission for 7.
