Exciting Brazil Camp Opportunity!

As always, we appreciate your prayers. As most of you know we have a vision to buy land to be used for church camp as well as other ministries. We have looked at many properties all of which we ended up not feeling peace about due to either the land not being as described, the sellers selling illegally, and many times the documents of the land not being in order (which is a common occurrence in Brazil). After each land that we decided not to go with, we would tell each other "God has something better". Well another piece of land just popped up for sale in our city and its SO MUCH BETTER than any other property we have looked at! This land has over 55 acres and is located inside a state park reserve about 20 minutes from town and 30-35 minutes from downtown Blumenau. There is a natural water supply on the property and the land will need a micro hydro-electric system to power the camp (which will cost $3,000- $4,000). Once installed, this will enable the camp to produce its own water and electric supply which will be very efficient for maintaining facilities. Our region is very mountainous with lots of vegetation so it is hard to find open space to build. It is important to have cleared land to build upon as it is a very difficult process to get permission to cut down trees in Brazil. This land has plenty of space to expand!

The great news is this great piece of land is only $62,000! (with the current exchange rate)! Right now the dollar is very good, making it a prime time to buy for best use of the dollar. Thus far through my wife selling soy candles to raise money and through gifts we were able to raise $5,000 specifically for camp land. We have personally saved $20,000 over the last few years to put towards buying this land. Unfortunately the banks in Brazil do not allow loans for rural lands. We need another $37,000 to buy this land! This is a wonderful opportunity as this is a very rare plot of land to come across! We believe that if this is the land God wants us to have He will make a way. Blumenau hosts the World's second largest Oktoberfest in the World! people come from all over the world just to drink beer and party during the month of October. However our vision is to be a light in this city and to be able to have a Haven of rest where young people can have a Christian atmosphere to learn about God and escape the worldliness of the city.
