Ever since I can remember,  I have been interested in traveling around the world, but to date, I have not left the United States.  I learned about the Rotary Club through my grandmother and my uncle who hosted students from all over Europe. I later learned they were being hosted through an amazing program called Rotary Youth Exchange. I was delighted to learn that I was old enough to apply for the program.

I took the initiative to learn more about Rotary and I applied with the consent of my parents. They were supportive of the idea of me going abroad for a year. Despite their help later in the application process, it was me that initiated the process by reaching out to Rotary members. I was able to show my parents my commitment to the program and now I want to help defer some of the costs associated with the program.

Currently, I am waiting to learn where in the wonderful country of Switzerland I will be living and attending school.
