As a fellow cat lover, I was heartbroken to hear that they recently had a window shattered. Excalipurr Cat Cafe is more than just a cafe; it's a safe haven for cats. Recently I have been in touch with the owner, and I'm hoping we can come together as a community to help Chelsey out! Below is her story ❤️Thank you for your kindness and support
"Window update: Thursday October 9th, I got the call that someone had broken a cafe window. My heart dropped thinking my cats were in danger. Once the police informed me that it was the cafe side window I knew everything was going to be okay. If my cats were safe that’s all the mattered. Of course it sucks and is a huge inconvenience but unfortunately it is the reality of many small businesses in the area of late. I knew that it was time to add some security protocols in place for the cats!
The community support has been phenomenal and mind blowing. You all are so amazing and full of love for my little cafe and the safety of the cats. I took what everyone suggested and concerns and we will be making some changes.
Fortunately a very kind family stepped forward and have donated a new window! My heart is completely overwhelmed by the support. It will be installed this week!!! Some people have already donated and some have still said they want to donate to the safety of the cats, so this is what we plan to do. We will be installing a safety film on the cat room windows. The price of this is almost $2000. We will also be installing glass break alarms and other security measure within the cafe at about another $1000, but we know the cats safety is so important, especially being right on one of the busiest streets in Regina.
A very kind individual has been in touch with me and wants to run a go fund me, I have agreed, although asking for help is hard I am so grateful ❤️ Those that made cash donations I will add those to this page!
