Junior está enfrentando la batalla más dura de su vida.

El domingo empezó a convulsionar y, anoche, sufrió una crisis epiléptica de más de 50 minutos, lo que obligó a hospitalizarlo de emergencia.

Hoy tuvo que someterse a una resonancia y punción lumbar bajo anestesia, pero al salir de la anestesia entró en un estado convulsivo permanente. Los médicos encontraron edema cerebral y una inflamación generalizada del sistema nervioso central, por lo que sigue hospitalizado y bajo tratamiento con la esperanza de que, al reducir el edema, logre estabilizarse.

Los especialistas consideran que la causa puede ser infecciosa o inmunológica, y aunque ya está recibiendo tratamiento para ambas, los gastos son muy altos. Aún faltan por cubrir los exámenes realizados, además de la hospitalización y los medicamentos que necesita en este momento crítico.

Hello, my name is Daniela and today I need to ask for your help for Junior, my 4-year-old Xoloitzcuintle. Junior has always been a lively companion: playful, loving, and full of endless energy. However, in the past few days, his health has taken a very worrying turn.

Junior is now facing the toughest battle of his life.

On Sunday, he started having seizures, and last night he suffered an epileptic crisis that lasted more than 50 minutes, which forced us to rush him to the emergency hospital.

Today, he had to undergo an MRI and a lumbar puncture under anesthesia, but after waking up he went into a permanent convulsive state. The doctors found brain edema and widespread inflammation of his central nervous system, so he remains hospitalized and under treatment, with the hope that once the swelling decreases, he will be able to stabilize.

The specialists believe the cause could be either infectious or immunological, and although he is already receiving treatment for both, the medical costs are extremely high. We still need to cover the tests that were already done, as well as the hospitalization and the medications he urgently needs at this critical moment.
