Hi, my name is Dan Roberts. I was born and raised in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and I’m also a long-time business owner and resident of Washington, DC. Many in DC know me as the owner of Rose’s Dream, where I’ve hosted community and social events for years.
I’m curr3ently back home in St. Elizabeth, where our parish has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Entire communities are underwater, homes are destroyed, and many families—including my own—have lost nearly everything. I’m grateful to be alive, but the road to recovery is long.
What this fundraiser is for (how funds will be used):
Emergency essentials: dry food, clean drinking water, hygiene items, and basic clothing
Temporary shelter: tarps, plywood, and bedding
Home repairs & rebuilding: roofing, lumber, concrete, tools
Community support: targeted assistance for neighbors and families with the greatest need
Who I’m raising funds for & how funds will be handled:
I am raising funds for my household and impacted neighbors in St. Elizabeth. I (Dan Roberts) will withdraw the funds directly and purchase supplies locally to distribute to families most affected. I will post regular updates with photos, receipts, and brief reports so donors can see exactly how contributions are used.
Thank you for standing with St. Elizabeth during this crisis. Please donate and share to help us rebuild.
With gratitude,
Dan Roberts
