Ex spent my rent money now I'm facing eviction

I didn't think my story would ever come to this. I recently ended a long term relationship with a man who stole thousands of dollars from me. After I discovered he had been using my rent money to gamble, he begged my forgiveness and promised to pay me back, but never has. His parents were paying

our rent out of his Trust fund, and were under the impression I wasn’t contributing at all when in fact he was just stealing my rent for an entire year. While deciding what to do next with nowhere else to go and him refusing to leave, I found out he was also using my rent money to buy meth and cheat on me with sex workers, and had given me an STD. He finally left. It wasn't until after he moved out and I took over the lease with a new roommate, that our landlord informed me we were behind two months. This means he continued to steal all my rent after his parents cut him off a few months ago. I am now responsible for an extra $5,000 in back rent. I tried to reason with his parents (who are VERY well off) hoping they would encourage him to pay our landlord what he owes. He has a full time job and now lives with them rent free. Somehow, they do not agree that he owes me or my landlord anything (see pics of my text convo with them). I work full time and also run a baking business. I can afford to pay my way and always have, but I do not have extra money to pay back his stolen rent, and am now in jeopardy of being evicted. I have three cats, a fledgling but growing business, and nowhere else to go. Please help me stay in my home and move on with my life.
