Raising Money for a PTSD Service Dog

Hi, all. As many of you know, I have been hospitalized for thirty weeks this year. I have complex-PTSD, and the symptoms have been so severe when I am out in the general chaos of life that it has become unmanageable at times. I have learned a ton of ways to calm myself, but in order for me to get back to being home with my children, to eventually get back to work I, to even to get back to the Beth that I know I am, I need further help reducing my trauma symptoms.

A PTSD service dog is a therapeutic necessity for me going forward. Asking for help from others, especially financial help, is humbling, but we have now had to be a one income family for over a year now as my health as declined, and our budget is extremely tight with the five kids, a mortgage, and our monthly bills. We have cut as much as can, but until I can be well and get back to work, we are just getting by.

Not all dogs can be trained as therapy dogs and those that can are approximately 5,000-7,000 dollars. The training, which I will get to do with my dog, is roughly 10-12 thousand dollars. I am humbly asking for donations from anyone willing to give. Even if you are unable, no worries. Please pass this along to anyone you may know who may be interested in helping in some way. I have a long road of healing ahead of me, and right now, I am fighting to stay home and remain home with my family. This PTSD service dog is one of the important steps in that process.
