Samantha is bravely facing a one-of-a-kind health journey: a rare and aggressive breast sarcoma called Malignant Phyllodes Tumor. After enduring two major surgeries to remove the tumor, she is now undergoing specialized radiation therapy and will soon begin chemotherapy at Duke University, one of the few medical centers with the expertise to treat this rare condition.
This fight is not only physically and emotionally demanding—it comes with significant financial burden. Samantha must travel frequently and stay for extended periods in Durham to receive the care she needs These costs, on top of medical expenses, are overwhelming.
What makes Samantha’s situation even harder is that her cancer is both a breast cancer and a sarcoma, which means she doesn’t fit neatly into existing charities or funding programs. She’s falling through the cracks of large organizations that typically provide support for more common diagnoses. That’s why your help truly matters.
As we approach the holiday season and National Giving Tuesday on December 2, we invite you to join us in the spirit of generosity and hope. Your support can make a real difference. Every contribution helps ease the burden of travel, lodging, and treatment logistics, allowing Samantha to focus on what matters most: her recovery and healing.
Alongside her radiation therapy, she will undergo IVF to address the fertility reduction these treatments can cause. She has chosen to complete two rounds to be proactive in this process.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Together, we can help Samantha through this difficult journey and give her the strength to keep fighting.
