My sister Nicole suffered a bout of diverticulitis and was hospitalized on Tuesday this week. Upon admission, it was discovered that she also had sepsis. She's been on heavy-duty antibiotics and in a lot of pain. She has lupus, which makes healing from things like this more difficult, so we don't know when she will be released. She also may not be able to go back to work right away.
