Help Jess with her Medical Situation!!

Hi everyone! Alexa Georgakopoulos and I are posting on behalf of Jess Lam. Here is her story:

I am an alumni of Bridgewater State University, currently going for my Master’s at Northeastern University and an alum of Phi Sigma Sigma. In January 2023, I got sick and went to the hospital where later on, I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure (ESRD). It all happened so quickly and very unexpectedly. Currently, I am on dialysis where I go three times a week and I am in need of a kidney transplant. My life got flipped upside down upon my diagnosis and it has been quite the journey adjusting to this new life and learning to cope with my kidney these past few months. Currently, I am unable to continue with my classes and unable to work. I am on the transplant list and will be on dialysis treatment for the foreseeable future until I can receive a transplant.

I still have a lot of bills that I am responsible for such as medical bills and school.

The waiting list for a kidney transplant can be around 3 to 5 years or sometimes even longer.
