Hi my name is Stevie Jo and I am Moxie Lee's mother and best friend. I just graduated from MSU Denver this December 2015 with a Bachelor's in Integrative Helath Care and a minor in Lifestyle Medicine and Wellness Coaching. I have started my own business in the field and am working hard to get it off the ground which is a process. I am not yet financially stable and I have recently had a financial emergency arise with my cherished dog, Moxie Lee. 
Moxie has a lump on her knee and this Saturday 2/27/16, the Vet determined it to be cancerous. She has since had another lump develop on the same leg. I am raising funds to help pay for the procedure of her lump removal as well as bloodwork and x-rays to see if the cancer has spread.

I rescued Moxie from the pound in 2008, and it was love at first sight. She was just a little biscuit at almost 3 months old but I knew she was meant to be with me, not just as my pet but as my companion, my family member, my healer, and as the cliche goes, my best friend. She has been there for me through the roughest parts of my adult life and I can't even put into words the bond we share. (I know you other dog lovers out there understand). 

We have had many adventures together and I know we will have anymore when she beats this! Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of spending time with Moxie just falls in love with her instantly. She is a gentle spirit, such a sweet demeanor, she would never bring harm to anyone or anything even a squirrel or a rabbit. She sees them in the yard and just lets them be, she has such a kind soul. My friends that love dogs always ask if they can have her, she is so docile and calm, loves to play with other dogs and especially enjoys time with puppies.
I have to admit and understand that no dog is going to outlive their human, however she is not that old yet and I have to do everything I can to remove this lump and find out if it hasn't spread because she certainly has a few good years left!

I posted on Facebook and offered my Health and Wellness Coaching, Reiki and Energy Helaing Sessions, and Private Yoga teaching in return for donations if anyone in my area would be interested. 
I promise that every penny I raise will go toward her medical bills and procedures and medications, supplements, vet visits, overnight stays, and whatever I need for her overall wellbeing. If I do have any extra or left over I will pay it forward into another animal's surgery charity or donate it to a trusted local humane society or animal shelter. We need the money as soon as possible to get the surgery underway, I am looking to family members to possibly put it on a credit card and pay it back with the funds I raise before the bill comes one month from now or April 1st, 2016.
I truly appreciate your time and consideration and I promise to pay all of this forward when my business takes off and I am financially on my feet. I do a lot of volunteer work already and I have had friends and family assure me that it is okay to ask for this help even though it's very hard for me to swallow my pride and do so. I love my baby girl more than I love being independent and never asking for anything. I would never ask if I absolutely didn't have any other choice. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the people who encouraged me to get on this site and all of the kind and generous souls who will donate to saving my best friend's life.
