Hello, a few months back, one of my employees, Megan, left the company to pursue another opportunity. She had been with our company for a very long time, and as a nurse and clinical educator, she helped so many patients get home to their families by teaching them how to take care of themselves before leaving the hospital. She was an extension of the hospitals she helped service and did whatever she could to help them discharge patients safely. Outside of that, she was a mentor to new hires and our team and never turned down lending a helping hand.

After Megan left, she was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer, and because she had just started a new job and was not yet covered on her new insurance, many of her health expenses were not covered. When I learned about her cancer diagnosis, I wanted to help someone who spent their life helping others any way I could. Even though she is no longer with the company, she will forever be considered family to our team.

Megan is now battling cancer and has a long road ahead of her, and I would like to raise money to help her so she can just concentrate on what’s important, surviving cancer.
