Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an update about my mom that some of you may or may not know. She recently underwent spinal fusion surgery—a procedure that’s been a long time coming but kept getting delayed. We’re incredibly grateful that the surgery is finally done and she’s now beginning the recovery process.

Right now, we’re still figuring out exactly what insurance will cover, but we already know she’ll be facing some unpaid time off as well as medical-related expenses. She’ll be out of work for up to 6 weeks, which will make it really difficult to keep up with monthly bills and the additional costs that come with surgery and recovery.

My mom has spent her entire life caring for others—both people and their pets—She’s always been the one to help when someone else was in need, and now she could use a little support herself.
