My name is Julia Sicurella along with my sister Christine and mom, Anna Sicurella.  On October 9, 2015 my dad Joseph Sicurella passed away.  My dad was a father of four, including myself, my sisters Christine and Cynthia along with my brother Craig.  Being 18 years old, I never expected to lose my dad so suddenly and this took a toll on my heart as it did his.  My dad suffered from heart failure very suddenly late morning on October 9th.  An ambulance rushed to my house as I rushed to the emergency room at St. Joseph's Hospital in Cheektowaga, NY.  My sister Christine was at work teaching when she received the news.  Our mom was right by his side.  By the time I arrived it was too late.  When I got to the emergency room, my mom and I had to wait with spirtitual care and talked about my father until the doctor came in.  His heart was only pumping 15% during the last few weeks before he passed.  He was fighting until his last breath.  My mom, siblings and I never got a chance to say our last goodbye.  Nothing will hurt more than the fact that we will never get another opportunity to tell him we love him.  When I come home from school, I will never get to see his face again as he asks, "How was your day at school?"  I can now only say goodbye in my heart.

I will always love my dad, even though it was hard growing up with my family's financial situation as my parents tried very hard to keep our family together and running.  We are having a difficult time affording the funeral expenses and it would be much appreciated if my family could receive help.  Without help, my family will never receive the closure we need and we will not be able to move forward with planning any part of the funeral.  The Sicurella Family is very appreciative for any loving contributions made from family, friends and those who hear our story.
