Help Jimmy Mills

Recently we found out that our long-time friend Jimmy Mills needs our help. He is suffering from dementia, a disease which has wrecked the functioning of his brain.

Dementia is progressive. Jimmny knew something was wrong a few years ago, but the disease has accelerated and he is not aware of where he is, or where he lives, He does not recognize friends or family and now stays in a temporary assisted living facility.

However, because he feels confined, he escapes, wanders off, and then gets lost. Therefore, this week, he has been moved to a locked facility. But because of a lack of funds, this can only be temporary.

Dementia is a condition that brings with it an increase in anger, confusion, and aggressive, sometimes violent behavior. Thus a return to his previous living conditions is out of the question.

For those who know and love Jimmy, you know how he was - a fixture in the 101 Club and many other rooms in South Florida. He was and is loved and he has helped many, many people reach a better life and lifestyle.

Today he needs our help.

We need funds to secure better and cleaner living conditions where he can be safe, receive professional help, and live out his life in comfort and dignity.

All the money will be used for the physical and medical betterment of Jimmy.
