Evelyn Ellsworth Condit, born August 28th 1956, passed peacefully from a prolonged battle with cancer March 20th, 2023. Evvie spent her childhood in New Jersey and moved to Colorado in the late seventies. She raised her three children (Alicia Condit, Carl and Lydia Evins) in Carbondale and later in life moved to Denver to go to college. She was an accomplished artist, an advocate for social justice, a strong-willed free spirit and loving to so many from all walks of life.
Non-traditional (as she would have wanted) celebration of life services will be held in Carbondale, Denver and upstate New York. Her family would like to invite all of those who knew and loved her to join, share memories, belongings and maybe even a joint. As soon as services are planned we will connect with our community. After life memorial donations and family support are dearly appreciated. Love to all who will miss her.
