In honor of Dr. Markiewitz's memory his family has started a scholarship fund. 100% of all donated money will go directly to the Dr. David L. Markiewitz Scholarship. More information is listed below:
The Dr. David L. Markiewitz Scholarship will be awarded to one student annually graduating from Tehachapi High School in Tehachapi, CA and pursuing post-secondary education. The scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $500 and is intended to be presented for a period of 20 years. The basis for this scholarship will be the principles Dr. Markiewitz held most dear: citizenship, patriotism, community, integrity, and character. The criteria and the requirements for the scholarship are still being drafted but the first award of this scholarship will be at the conclusion of the 2015-2016 school year.
