Evil Hedge Fund Seizes Advocate's Possessions

CAN THIS REALLY HAPPEN IN AMERICA?
On February 24, 2025, I was forcibly evicted from my home of 25+ years by an aggressive, foreign hedge fund that not only put me on the street without warning, but also unlawfully seized ALL OF MY POSSESSIONS, not allowing me to recover a single photo, keepsake or article of clothing. I was banned from the property while my lifetime of possessions was bagged and trashed. It's unbelievable that this could happen in America, that a corporation, while some were taken by the hedge fund. In America, a hedge fund can take everything a man owns, only to throw it away. It was inhumane, illegal, and obscenely wasteful. I couldn't even post a bond to stay the eviction while I appealed. I was stripped of my rights along with all my earthly possessions.
I ask for your help - not only to help me recover from such a loss, but also, so that I can continue my public advocacy that resulted in Anne Schindler and Folio Weekly magazine calling me an "environmental hero" on December 18, 2017 I have been deeply involved in dozens of public interest victories - and was one of seven people who organized the successf ul effort to assure the removal of 40,000 cubic yards of contaminated solid waste deposited by our City of St. Augustine in a coquina pit.
But I clean up St. Augustine on a daily basis; perhaps you've seen my widely-read blog Clean Up The City of St. Augustine. I still have my passion for saving this beautiful county from overdevelopment and corruption, which go hand-in-hand, while continuing to stand up for our precious first amendment rights. Perhaps my local advocacy led to the brutal treatment I experienced on February. 24, 2025 I've ruffled more than a few feathers. And I will ruffle many more.
I hope I can count on your help - whatever you can afford to give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I still believe in the American Dream, even after living the nightmare of a foreign hedge fund foreclosure.
