“Hey everyone,

I’m reaching out for a little financial support during a tough transition. A couple of weeks ago, I lost my job because of the recent tariffs from Trump, which hurt the small business I worked for quite a bit. Unfortunately, my manager had to make some tough choices, and since it was a small business, I wasn’t eligible for unemployment.

Getting through this time has been difficult, especially as a trans woman of color. I’ve been trying my best to stay positive and find resources. The good news is that I’ve already found another job. For the past two weeks, I’ve been focused on getting back on my feet and seeking stable work, and thankfully, that effort paid off.

Still, the gap between jobs has left me in a tough financial spot. There are bills, travel, and just trying to stay afloat until I get my income back. That’s why I’m reaching out to my community for help. I truly believe in the strength of community and mutual support, especially now. I understand that many people are struggling too, so please don’t feel pressured. Even sharing this or sending a kind message means a lot to me.
