On the late afternoon of
April 13th, my beautiful 13yo niece Evie was hit by a car whilst riding on an e-bike with a friend. The car hit them at around 50kms per hour. No one is at fault, it’s just a very unluckily accident.
My nieces friend who was riding the e-bike thankfully did not receive any injuries but Evie unfortunately took the full brunt and had pressure on her brain and her left leg bones are smashed. After a trip in the helicopter, last night surgeons were able to release the brain pressure with with a shunt and mobilise her leg. She remains in an induced coma but in a stable condition. She has many surgeries to face yet. She is the toughest 13yo I know and I have no doubt she’s going to fully recover. She has to, she’s Daisys best friend ❤️ This is not something we would usually do but my sister Manda is a solo mum to 3 teenagers raising them on her own, which is costly in itself, but now she does not know when she will be able to return work as they are in the Children’s ICU in Melbourne. Any contribution big or tiny will used to pay for rent and food to keep a roof over the kids heads. If anything, please wish the best for our Evie girl - she is an extremely talented AFL footy player so this broken leg is going to be really tough for her. All of this was just an accident, no one’s fault but if anything, please be careful on e-bikes, and always wear your helmet. Love Aunty Kylo
