Help Nyajuok and Her Daughters Avoid Eviction

Hi, my name is Nyajuok. I have two children named Naima, 11 years old, and Ife, 3 years old. For my daughters, I ended toxic relationships with my immediate family. I have been rebuilding my mental health and being the main provider for my children.

Last year, I made the biggest decision to move my 2 daughters and me from Washington state to Houston, Texas.

I've already been through huge life changes multiple times, leading to depression, and to start over financially. As a single mother, I now have to pay childcare tuition for both my children and rent for a 2-bedroom apartment, not to mention all the bills. Due to unfortunate events, such as job loss, car theft, and depleted savings, I recently received bad news that I am facing eviction soon.

I'm not one to ask for help, but a beautiful soul told me that I need to reach out to those who would be willing to give my family a chance to continue this

Hello, my name is Nyajuok. I’m a mother to two beautiful daughters — Naima, who is 11, and Ife, who is 3. For the sake of my children, I made the difficult decision to walk away from toxic relationships within my immediate family. Since then, I’ve been focused on rebuilding my mental health and providing a stable, loving home for my girls.
Last year, I took a leap of faith and moved my little family from Washington State to Houston, Texas, in hopes of a fresh start. While we've made progress, this journey has not been easy. I’ve faced significant life changes — including job loss, financial instability, and emotional setbacks — all of which have taken a toll on my mental and financial well-being.
As a single mother, I carry the full responsibility of providing for my daughters — from rent on our two-bedroom apartment to childcare tuition and everyday living expenses. Recently, a series of unfortunate events — including losing my job and having my car stolen — have left me with depleted savings. Now, I’m facing the very real threat of eviction.
Asking for help is not easy for me. But someone kind reminded me that sometimes, we have to lean on others who are willing to support us during tough times. I’m reaching out in hopes that someone can give my family a chance to continue this healing journey — to stay housed, stay hopeful, and keep moving forward.
