Eviction Looms: Help Us Stay Afloat

Hi there.

My family is on the verge of homelessness, and it is terrifying. We took a gamble that we would be able to make a life for our family in St. Croix, but nothing has worked out the way we had intended. Income we had expected months ago has been frozen indefinitely due to tariffs, and work that my husband had counted on off island has been canceled due to trump's policies. We are behind on rent by a couple of weeks, and our landlord is moving to evict us. We have decided to return to NYC where we both would have better job prospects, but we need help to manage the cost of plane tickets and securing a roof over our head. Our child is a young 2 years old, and the prospect of having no home is simply terrifying.
