The last thing we wanted to do was to burden other people with our troubles. But we have decided to put our pride aside for the sake of our children. We have recently been hitting speed bump after speed bump, and at times it feels as if our family is cursed. Our most recent challenge was a 10-day notice from our landlord because my fiancé was defrauded of his job and never received payment for the work he did for the company. Under the guise of "Iron Peak Shipping," they promised him good pay following a "probation period," but after three months, they would ignore his calls and hang up on him. After doing some research, we discovered that it was a scam. He is looking for work right now, but because of our stringent landlord policies, even if he were hired today, he would not get paid before being evicted. And because of my high-risk pregnancy due to a previous twin miscarriage and my impending due date, no one is currently willing to hire me. The bills are mounting, and our only car, for which we are still making payments, is about to be repossessed. Our son is three years old, and another is due in 3 weeks or less.

We are in dire need of the support of friends, family, and kind, caring people! We are in this precarious situation because of the heartless, but I think the world underestimates how many kind and generous people it contains.
