My name is @ Cwellan. The last bunch of years have been challenging for a lot of people. For most people even. I am no exception. Nobody writes a Go Fund Me if their life is working out. It’s really humbling to ask for help.
What I’m asking for is:
* Enough funds to be in the black with my landlord. ($3400)
* A place to live temporarily or more permanently. Preferably a place with a public transit system nearby.
My mom passed within a few months of COVID's start. I was her main caretaker and she died peacefully at home. During that time I wasn’t working in my tech field, because I was working as a caregiver. The tech industry went on without me. I now need education to get back into it.
Fast forward to today, I haven’t been able to make enough money to do all the things that have needed to be done - car maintenance for one. Which snowballs into a rejected sticker, but you need a car to get to work, so I drove it and got caught. Then a car accident happened and now no car. This of course affected my ability to get to work. (at the time, I was working in the manufacturing of adult leather toys; just over the border in another state.) Don’t judge, it was work. I fell behind 2.5 months rent. I got an eviction notice last Friday. I currently live in downtown Holyoke; on the 4th floor of a walk up only apartment. I am requested to be out by the 18th of this month.
I have also been working to get technical education in the hopes of getting a better job. This will take some time, which I don’t have a lot of at the moment.
Whatever amount of money you can donate to my cause would be greatly appreciated. It’s a hard time to ask for help. Because of the holidays and because it’s been a rough few years for so many. I am so sad to say, I am one of them right now.
