Evicted in 10 days! Help Mandy & David relocate
Please Consider Helping Two Friends Being Evicted In Less Than 10 Days!
UPDATE:
I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your incredibly generous donations. I am honestly blown away by how much support this campaign has received.
I can report that Mandy and David are now out of their former home. And while they're still looking for their next permanent place to live, they are filled with relief and gratitude knowing that they can afford a deposit and the storage unit they needed while they're in transition.
Despite going through a rough time, Mandy and David have been in extremely high spirits the past two weeks and it is directly because of your generosity. Not only because they got the financial help they needed, but because they saw how truly blessed they are to have so many people who cared. It changed their entire outlook on the situation, and that is directly because of you.
Thank you for your help!!
Anyone who is lucky enough to know Mandy or David knows that they will drop everything, at any time, to help a friend or loved one in need. But now, they need our help.
While many of us are blessed to be leaving the pandemic behind and getting back to our normal lives, Mandy and David are still suffering from the aftermath, as they have been suddenly evicted from their home.
They moved from Pennsylvania to California in January 2020 to begin new careers, but both lost their jobs less than two months later when COVID-19 brought the world to a halt. They were unable to secure full unemployment benefits due to not being in their CA jobs for long enough and had to spend the last year barely scraping by with temporary jobs that weren’t enough to make ends meet.
Their lack of income made it increasingly difficult to pay full rent each month, and the landlords became hostile. Although several laws were put into place during the pandemic to protect struggling tenants who lost their jobs, Mandy and David’s landlord recently found a loophole and served them an eviction notice. They will now be forced to move out of their home on July 15.
Although they both have been blessed to start new jobs since California fully reopened last month, it won’t be enough to cover the moving expenses (including a place to stay while they wait for a new apartment on August 1.)
Any money donated will go toward the following expenses:
~Moving truck rental
~Storage Unit
~Temporary lodging while they wait for a new apartment to be ready
~Security deposit
~Utility bill transfer
If you’re in a position to be able to donate any amount, they’d be eternally grateful. If not, please consider sharing this link to help spread the word.
