Please help my Grandma and Grandpa to stay afloat

Hello, my name is Steffany. I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of my grandparents who, for the first time in my lifetime, need financial help to keep them afloat until they can sell their house. I have never seen them in this position, and they have always been there for those that need help, including me. It hurts to see how the pandemic has affected everyone, especially your family, particularly the family that raised you and has always been there for you. Grateful for any support. My grandparents, David and Laura, have found themselves in a very difficult situation unlike they have ever experienced. They have always worked hard, been self-sufficient, and never considered that their situation would change so drastically within just a few years.

They didn’t hesitate to take on and raise a second family when my sister and I needed a home, and even though we were never considered wealthy, we had all we needed, including their love and support.

They owned and ran a successful “Mom and Pop” business for over 30 years. However, due to the Covid pandemic, they lost that business, and now find themselves in dire need of funds to help them hold on until they can sell our family home and retire on social security to live in their RV, which they did for a few years, and they want to get back to that simple way of living.

However, due to health issues (Covid infection, “Long-Covid”/CFS/Fibromyalgia, hip replacement, cognitive impairment) and their ages (71 and 68), they are both unable to do the work they need to do to get the house ready for sale before the market changes so much that their equity is gone.

They cannot pay their mortgage and bills on their current social security income, and I fear they are on a collision course toward losing everything.
