Hi, my name is Haley.
Many of you have seen many posts about the devastating fire on covered bridge road just off of cedar sauk this past Monday 9/26. Unfortunately, all that’s left of Joy’s house is a pile of ash & rubble. Her whole life was in that house and now she is left with literally nothing. Thankfully her farm animals were unharmed and her dog Otis made it out with a couple minor injuries, but it is unknown if her baby girl Roxy made it out. She’s desperate to find her. Other than that, all she has is the clothes she was wearing that day & a few items given to her from friends.
I’ve known Joy my whole life as she is a family friend, one of my moms best friends & basically my aunt! You may even know her too, whether it be from from fishing down at the lake, catching her while she’s working at the fair, working at one of her jobs, maybe she was your hair dresser at one point or just passing her by and seeing her infectious smile! She is such a free spirit, fun, caring, determined, loving and hard working woman! She keeps herself busy, whether it be taking care of her animals, working at one of her jobs, or spending her time at the lake reeling in some of her big catches. She is such a deserving individual who did not deserve this devastating hand that was dealt to her.
During this heartbreaking time, I’d like to get together a little bit of money to help her out due to the fact that she has lost everything. I’m not someone who takes help from people easily, and I don’t think she’s that type of person either. But I know deep down, I’d want someone to do the same for me if I had such a tragic loss.
Anything we can get for her will help immensely & is so appreciated!
Thank you so much.
