Sweet Yvette who lost everything after a fire
Yesterday, on February 25, 2019, our sweet colleague Yvette and her husband lost everything they owned in a terrible fire.
Their apartment was on the 15th floor of a high-rise on Edsall Road in Alexandria, VA. Adding to the difficult nature of a high-rise blaze, the winds yesterday were sustained at 25mph and gusting up to 35mph.
Thankfully they were not home when the fire broke out, and there were no injuries reported in the building.
We really hope to raise enough money to refurnish their home and re-stock their kitchen.
One suggestion we heard instead of actual money, was donating unused gift cards to our office. There is a front desk receptionist at the office from 9-5pm every day of the week & our office is located at 400 King St, Alexandria, VA 22314
If you all have any additional suggestions on how to help, anything is appreciated and we are all grateful.
Here is the story from our local Patch https://patch.com/virginia/delray/s/gmudy/2-displaced-after-alexandria-high-rise-fire
