Everyone's Nana 


Dola Pyles, grandmother of Student-Teacher, Kaya “C-Cee” Curtis, had become known and loved at Dellos Studios as “Everybody’s Nana”. Grandma Dola became ‘the face’ who greeted young and old alike as they walked through our doors. She was always willing to offer a helping hand with daily tasks or challenges and could be found entertaining toddlers, pre-schoolers and challenged young teens throughout the building from early afternoon to closing.

Grandma Dola’s artwork brought squeals and excitement as she hand delivered creative gift boxes filled with candy for each holiday celebration. Dola could be found rummaging through her purse for a piece of candy to distract a crying child or pushing a stroller in our parking lot to calm an upset toddler. Dola made sure to exchange a daily hug with young and old alike, always leaving them with the positive affirmation, “We all have to stay in Faith... God has this!”

Sadly, Grandma Dola recently suffered a massive heart attack and is no longer with us. The Curtis Family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from those who Nana referred to as her extended ‘Dellos Family’.
