Everyone needs to beat cancer. Go Becky!!!

My wife was diagnosed with Breast cancer on December 5th of this year. We are hoping to raise some funds to help offset the cost of the surgery,  radiation/chemo (if it comes to that) and to help pay for some of the medical bills. We have a surgery date set for the first week in February. We are hoping that Huntsman Cancer Institute will call us to reschedule for an earlier date.   This hits close to home as my mother passed away with I was 14. We are hoping the recovery will be fast. It usually takes 4-6 weeks. Then process of chemo or radiation which we hope it doesn't come  to that. Thanks for your help.  Over the last week and a half my wife Rebecca Seidel and I have seen the hand of god play a big part in our lives. We have been blessed with miracles and more blessings than we could ever ask for. For me not being very spiritual, my eyes have been opened more to god and his hands. 2 weeks ago, 11-27 my kids, wife and I were wrestling with each other. Somehow during it she hurt her right side. The following days after, she complained of pain and discomfort when she moved and breathed. We thought ok, she broke her rib. On Thursday 11-29, 2 days after she felt the area where the pain was which was under her right breast, and felt a few lumps. On Friday 11-30 we called to our doctor at the clinic to schedule an apt for her to see if it was a broken rib and to get the lumps check out. We finally got in Tuesday 12-4. Our Doctor examined her and said she has a few concerns about the lumps. She needs to go see a doctor at the huntsman cancer institute and it may take up to a few weeks to get in. She wrote a referral notice and she called but couldn’t find one for a few weeks. Later that day I just picked up the phone and called the number she gave us. I explained to the receptionist our situation and told her it would mean a lot to get in asap. She told me she just had a cancelation for Wednesday 12-5 can you make it. I said absolutely. We went to our 9 am appointment with Dr. Nicole Winkler which gave her a mammogram and ultrasound. The Doctor informed us that my wife has breast cancer and hasn’t spread to her lymphatic system but we need to make sure with an MRI. Dr. Winkler informed us on what to expect next in line. Which will be a biopsy, MRI and an appointment with the surgeon. Which could take a month or 2 to get complete. She said, just for the biopsy it will take a few weeks to get schedule and the fastest place would be the Farmington clinic. She left to go see if they had any appointments available. She came back a few mins later and said, I have great news we have an opening at 1045 which will be in 20 min. I asked the Dr. where it was and she told me it's here. I will be doing it myself is that ok? Of course, it will be. After the biopsy was finished my wife’s pain on her right side went away. Dr. Winkler walked us through what is happening next. We have to schedule the MRI to make sure it hasn’t spread to the rest of your body. The MRI could take a few weeks to get finished, the MRI will call you to make the appointment and the surgeon could take up to a month to 2. She left the room and comes back about 10 mins later and told us great news, I know the surgeon personally and she has scheduled you for Friday 12-14. The MRI placed called us about hour and a half later and asked if we can come in on Friday 12-7 at 8 pm. So, we had the MRI on Friday, and we are looking forward to seeing the doctor this Friday to get into surgery. I feel we have been very blessed and watched over in the past few weeks. We have gotten everything finished in 3 days that takes most people a few months to complete. If it wasn’t for her getting hurt, we would have never caught it since she just had an exam 5 months ago. He truly works in mysterious ways. I want to thank to Dr. Nicole Winkler of https://healthcare.utah.edu/fad/mddetail.php… andhttps://healthcare.utah.edu/huntsmancancerinstitute/ for all her help and the support she has given us. I also want to thank the staff for all their empathy and caring they gave us. I also want to say thanks to Bishop Mike Blackham for all his blessing and words of encouragements. You truly are blessing to us and this world. To my University of utah work family thank you for all your encouragement and help. I will be calling on you for some assistance, because if i don't I know i'll be in trouble with some people. Oh yeah before I forget Breast Cancer SUCKS………… Go BECKY
